This Northern California artisan, Mohammad, started Grooming Dept in 2017. With formulations that include duck fat, donkey milk, and lamb & beef tallow, as well as a vegan base, he is turning heads. Check out some of his offerings and phenomenal scents.
This classic Italian type soap base, Lusso, is tallow-based with lots of cupuacu butter and coconut oil. It has a particularly high level of cushion to protect your sensitive skin. It also has jersey cow's milk from St. Benoit Creamery. It is noticeably denser than other soap bases and can handle a lot of water. Interestingly, it has the fewest ingredients of all his soap bases but boy does it deliver.
A waterfall of scents, this Cascade aroma has notes Orange, Mandarin, Grapefruit, Galbanum, Chamomile, Cardamom, Sichuan Pepper, Juniper, Jasmine, Osmanthus, Ylang Ylang, Orris and Tobacco. It is overflowing with zesty, refreshing notes anchored with masculine tobacco.
