- Traditional lathering soap
- Vegan soap with coconut oil, activated charcoal, and kukui nut oil
- Scented with peppermint and orange
Hawaiian Shaving Company was inspired by Hawaiian native Al Braun’s eight-year-old daughter who encouraged him to make his own soap with ingredients local to the big island. Coconut oil plays a big role in their products, as this family has been part of restoring Kaimu (a black sand beach and coconut groves overrun by a lava flow in 1990) by planting and tending coconut trees. Check out these natural products from paradise. Mahalo!
Of course, their soap is inspired by the islands. They use the aforementioned coconut oil and then add activated charcoal from coconut husks (to remember the cooled lava flows at Kaimu). They also added kukui nut oil like generations before them. Although it looks like lava in the tin, it lathers up frothy white.
Peppermint and orange essential oils will give you an eye-popping start to your day. The strong aroma of peppermint blends with the sweet scent of orange for a delightfully pungent fragrance. This one will probably remind you of an umbrella drink delivered to your poolside chair. Enjoy!
