The Ever Ready Step 3 shaving brush has a classic silhouette with a little beehive flare at the bottom. This stout, sturdy brush is excellent for face lathers as it fits nicely in the hand. This handle has been loaded with a 26mm lather monster of a knot in badger hair. This natural hair is known for its water retention (excellent to keep lather hydrated), backbone (stiff enough to work well on hard soaps) and face feel. Then they upped the ante and gelled the tips to make it even softer on the face. The bulb shape is also popular among wet shavers.
