Like all L.A. Shaving Co soaps, this all-natural, vegan soap provides slickness and post-shave to rival any tallow-based offering. The new base includes French red clay and activated charcoal as well as hydrating oils, butters, and glycerin. This grooming essential is known for creating a lather with minimal effort so it is great for a wet shaving newbie. But the performance is so spectacular that classic shaving veterans are singing its praises as well. This base needs a little less water than lots of other soaps, so start with a damp brush and add water as needed to achieve a thick, creamy, slick lather.
L.A. Shaving Soap Co's take on Bay Rum is inspired by Santa Monica Bay (named after the bay which gives LA its glorious beaches). It begins with West Indies Bay (Pimenta Pacimosa), vanilla, and a generous dollop of dark rum - CLASSIC! But they round it out with citrus (orange & lemon) and woody (balsam tolu & ho wood) extracts and essential oils. A variety of spices (clary sage, sweet myrrh, & anise) also lends a unique note. This is a bay rum but it comes across more spicy and sweet than the traditional.
