Ben started Mammoth Shave Soap with a love for wet shaving and a passion to fight the evil "mammoth" in the room: human trafficking. Ben and his wife (an international flight attendant trained to spot potential victims) have been supporting the work of anti-trafficking organizations for years, but with the birth of their son, they were inspired to go bigger. Over a year of mixing, testing, trial-and-error, incremental changes, and expert vetting has led to an exceptional recipe. Loaded with beef tallow, duck fat, & kokum butter, the resulting lather is dense and shiny and able to contain a wide range of hydration. It sticks close to the skin to provide a protective glide with a nice balance of dry oils and butters for slickness and moisture retention. They tested over 30 versions to bring you the best.

The Kryptonite scent is a very fresh lime, bolstered by evergreens. This is the first scent I made in shaving soap, a commission for my friend Matt Lonseth, who is a big fan of the Man of Steel. I’m very happy to finally be able to bring it to production, and hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Notes: lime, litsea cubeba, cedar, fir, cypress, howood.
In accordance with the theme, the soap is a bright and fun green. Both soap and splash feature WS-23, a synthetic cooling agent that provides a mild but pleasant cooling sensation with no impact on the scent.
