Ok, let's be honest. You love an effective mug of super slick, protective shaving lather, but you don't have a den full of soap because you can't get enough creamy froth. You have a den full of soap, because you can't get enough amazing scents. Well, add another one to your wish list. L.A. Shaving Soap Co. is a churning out amazing soap and amazing scents, especially Woody Lavender.
Like all L.A. Shaving Co soaps, this all-natural, vegan soap provides slickness and post-shave to rival any tallow-based offering. The new base includes French red clay and activated charcoal as well as hydrating oils, butters, and glycerin. This grooming essential is known for creating a lather with minimal effort, so it is great for a wet shaving newbie. But the performance is so spectacular that classic shaving veterans are singing its praises as well. This base needs a little less water than lots of other soaps, so start with a damp brush and add water as needed to achieve a thick, creamy, slick lather.
But the scent has people talking. This isn't grandma's lavender. Essential oils of lavender, ho wood, amyris, and West Indian Bay blend wonderfully in this masculine scent. It has a wonderful lavender note, reminiscent of driving through the lavender fields of Provence, but it is tempered by the woody tones which prevent the floral hit from being overpowering. It becomes a relaxing, zen like aroma.
